We decided to give it another try because one of our party has celiac disease, and they do offer gluten-free options. However, even after she explained her condition and specifically ordered a gluten-free crepe, they served her a regular one, which made her sick and caused her to miss a day of skiing. The cashier also seemed indifferent to the mistake.
Have never had a bad bite to eat here. We frequented the Skinny Pancake when we lived here and it's a staple when we visit. Hotly requested by our kids and a place we take and recommend to out of town friends.
Fantastic place for a fantastic meal. If you like any of their other locations, you'll love this 10fold. Great food, great views, great times.
Well, we checked out of our hotel and instead of eating a bagel coffee, we decided to go to some type of diner and found this place and it looked good. So we went. We were all very hungry and the server tells us to scan the code to place the order or to go to the cashier. So we decided to scan the code and do it ourself. I don't know if it was us but it was kind of perplex to use. anyway we finally placed the order. 3 large freshly squeezed orange juice 3 Noah's ark and a chocolate crepe and an ice coffee. The bill came out to $105.00 for the four of us. The payment was made before the food was served to us. We have never ever in 19 years paid so much for breakfast. Was the food good. HELLOOOO it was just one scrambled egg, bacon and crepe. We didn't even want to ask for toast because it was going to add up. This was just out of our budget. But if you can afford it then go right ahead.
The Skinny Pancake at Stowe Resort is quite disappointing. The old carpet, strange entrance, and lackluster interior are surprising given its prime location next to the ice rink. I expected a charming, modern creperie, but it was a total letdown—I even felt unclean there. Moreover, it opens fairly late, which can be problematic for families wanting breakfast before ski school. Luckily, the lodge at Spruce Peak opens at 7 AM, which was a lifesaver for our early-rising kids. I would recommend skipping this place.
