La Cambuse - Strasbourg

Unfortunate experience as the tasty food was forgotten due to the poor behaviour of the business. When we asked about the wine list, we were told that the server was the wine list. So as not to seem rude, we did not press the issue and ask for a written price list. A mistake, as the two very small glasses of white wine we drank cost 11 euros each. And a wine which we could have bought a bottle of in Canada for less than that, so not even a special pour. Too bad. Spent a month travelling through the UK and Europe, and this was the only time I felt exploited. There are many other great restaurants in beautiful Strasbourg with more ethical business practices for travellers to enjoy, so I would suggest dining at one of those instead.

We were lucky to get a tiny table on the terrasse outside. It was lovely decorated table avec goût et sympathie. The restaurant offers a fusion between best French products and Japanese traditions. The dishes are quite experimental but never too bold. The service is attentive, kind, and explains with details the cuisine. Prices are high but definitely worth it.

Time stops in an old boat. A very pleasant moment in this warm decoration restaurant with old luxury boat woodwork. Vegetarian? Enjoy good fish dishes, this place is for you. Turbo, lotte, gambas, saint-jacques... the best fish restaurant in Strasbourg. Good wine. Good personal. Suggestions as much worked as the map. Close your eyes and let yourself enjoy this moment.

I love this place. ...it's my favorite canteen. For over 20 years, I've been enjoying the 2 raw herbs and I'm not even talking about suggestions on earth without talking about desserts. We would need more stars than those available. In addition, the place is decorated with an exquisite taste, really I love.
