Sadly the menu does not come in English but the owner can explain all the menu to you in English so I suggest that if you need the menu translated you go in when it opens so he has the time to discuss the menu with you. The food was really delicious and highlighted the great food Alsace has to offer. In addition the restaurant is decorated with many different things that give it a very home feel. The owner also has a lovely personality and loved to make many jokes but was very accomodating.
Onion tart, beef for a main and Apricot Tart for dessert. Fantastic dinner and great ambience. Just what we were looking for, English friendly. A fabulous night!
Nice little restaurant with intimate dining room- typical Winstub Excellent menu choice and food quality (would thoroughly recommend the steak tartare) The service was probably the best and friendliest I have came across in France, and the waiter provided some entertainment making the tartare at the table. Would thoroughly recommend!
We spent 5 days in Strasbourg and loved having dinner in the typical Alsatian restaurant. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. We used to live in Strasbourg and had eaten there before and were happy to see the quality was still excellent. It is a small place, easy to miss, on a little side street...reservations recommended !
Not the first time we came here for dinner and won't be the last either. The dishes are typical for the region and good. Everything is home made and the deserts are delicious. This visit we did miss Thierry's usually joking and fun manner. He decided to be less vocal and make less to none jokes as some people did not appreciate his unusual humour. He's a special character and makes us regular guests laugh a lot.His grumpy and fun ways belong to this place as the good food does. It's unfortunate when the host feels the need to change because of a few people that don't appreciate humour.
