I hate to give this place a 2 star review but it was pretty miserable. No problems with the ice cream it's a nice little store. It was very busy the girl behind the counter was rude obviously annoyed.... She kept yelling to move the line because we're blocking the doors. No one was really sure where she wanted us to go. Instead of calmly talking to us she slammed things around behind the counter and made us feel like we are stupid for not knowing where she wants us. Like I said, the ice cream was fine but there's not a chance I'll be back, I can get ice cream anywhere. I'm not going to put the girls name in a review but if a manager would like to contact me I will give it to them. Maybe some training would fix this
Not gonna lie, it's a bit of a tourist trap. As a local living in town, the ice cream isn't bad but it's quite pricey for what you get. I guess if you were in town visiting with small kids could stop here and explore that little shop in (which also is not cheap). I do like their little seating area outside of the shop though.
Atmosphere is nice been coming here for a very long time to get the homemade waffle cones. Well like everything that has now ended! We are getting store bought cones. Not worth the price anymore. So sad to take away the smells of the cones being made.
Every place I cast my eyes, I saw dried ice cream on surfaces that felt like they had a layer of grime on them. Food was on the floor, and I don't mean behind the prep counter. There's a leak as soon as you come in the back door...maybe put a dehumidifier to diminish the stale smell. As for the ice cream, the butter pecan was too sweet for my taste. Granted, the bar is high, because Sweet Scoop makes the best BP. My daughter got snickers, but really it was just chocolate. My son got a root beer float; he enjoyed it. In general, the place is not what it was. I say that as a customer who'd lived down the street from the store for several years. I've since moved to the city, but I'll give it another try the nest time I'm in town.
