Dao Fusion Cuisine Lounge - Stratford

The experience was disappointing. The tempura was excessively oily, and the dishes were nearly devoid of flavor, making them not worth the cost. Additionally, the staff was quite unfriendly. I can think of many other Asian restaurants that serve much higher-quality food.

I ordered delivery from this restaurant and requested beef with broccoli, prepared gluten-free. They've usually been good about accommodating gluten-free requirements, but today the dish was just plain and covered in a lot of gluten-free soy sauce. It was hard to eat. Additionally, the delivery driver didn't have any change, even though I had informed the restaurant over the phone that I would be paying in cash. I didn't bother calling them again because, based on my past experiences, they don't seem to be very responsive.

The restaurant offers fantastic flavors and a keen attention to detail, with generous portions of sashimi and reasonable prices considering the quality and quantity. My only issue during my visit was that the fried oysters were incredibly hot on the inside, and I wasn’t warned about it, which led to a slight burn on my mouth. Also, the assorted sashimi had a couple of duplicate items; I would have preferred each portion to feature 2 to 3 different fish for a better tasting experience. Nonetheless, the highlight was definitely the sashimi portions, which were twice as large as what I usually find at sushi restaurants.

I enjoyed the food and the ambience of the place. The only reason I didn't give this restaurant a 5 was that the service was a little slow and the restaurant was practically empty. I would still go back to this restaurant and get the tamarind duck and the duck buns -they tasted like heaven!
