An excellent lunch. Spiced parsnip and apple soup with scrumptious bread and butter, followed by a melted Stilton and mushroom sandwich. My friend had the fish finger sandwich. Both relished with salad. The artisan bread accompanying the food I have to add, was incredible and sO fresh; everything was great quality and tasted home-made, presented with stunning crockery and cutlery. We shared a large pot of nice English Breakfast tea. The staff were superb, very kind, hospitable and accommodating. It was a gorgeous and substantial meal that kept us warm and energised for our walk around Stratford afterwards.
Popped in for lunch on our day out in Stratford. Had sandwiches and one portion of chips between the three of us. Had a duck and plum sauce sarnie, which I'd never had before, it was absolutely delicious. The food was lovely, there was more than enough, sandwiches came well presented with a little bit of side salad and the bread was absolutely wonderful. Service was good, would highly recommend if you're in Stratford. The cakes and cream teas looked lovely, but we couldn't manage any more!
Lovely hidden gem!from outside, it looks like a small bakery where you have 2 tables and can order tea with your pain au chocolat. But don't be fooled, go inside and brand new space and atmosphere welcomes you old tudor style house in 2 floors, lovely decorations, authentic beams and you can have a view to a busy street. The food is a bit pricy, but very, very good. Service: Dine in
Have been visiting this quirky building for lunch when in the area for years, love the wonky floors and wooden beams. Had a delicious lunch, fish finger sandwiches were lovely and very filling. They were happy to swap the menu about too. Tasty coffee and very friendly owner, will be back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch
