Muffin Break - Stratford-on-Avon

I went to this restaurant for coffee with my child and had to clean one of the two dirty high chairs myself. A staff member saw me doing this but didn't offer to help. The one-way system for COVID was not being followed, tables were not being wiped down after each customer, and there were wobbly tables and dirty floors. I won't be returning to this restaurant. These issues are concerning on any day, but especially during a pandemic.

I haven't been to this restaurant in a while (since before lockdown), so I stopped in for coffee and cake. There weren't many cake options to choose from, so I decided to try a muffin in hopes that they had improved since my last review of their muffins. Unfortunately, that was not the case. I had the "Mars" muffin, which was supposed to be really moist and sweet, but it was actually dry and a bit sticky. It's a shame because the cakes here are usually very good, but I always seem to have trouble with their muffins. I won't be getting any more muffins from here!

We are normally a fan of independent coffee shops, but we have always found this branch of the Muffin Break chain to be very good. It has a large interior and a small outside seating area which are definitely plus points in the current situation. We came here for coffee after shopping in a supermarket close by. We found the place to be spotlessly clean and the staff cheerful and friendly. We had two flat whites which were very good quality. We are looking forward to our next visit.

I had a disappointing experience at Muffin Break. The restaurant was dirty, with staff not wearing face shields or masks while delivering food and tables not properly sanitized. My croissant was okay, but my bagel was truly unpleasant. Additionally, a rude man at the restaurant refused to keep his distance and made insensitive remarks about COVID-19 precautions. It's safe to say I won't be returning.

The worst breakfast I have ever seen..!! Honestly who deep fat fries bacon..!! Just gross.. 4 pieces of hard over fried bacon (as didn’t want sausages) dried up mushrooms and a little pot of bean with a nice vinegary tasting poached egg.. very unpleasant will definitely not be going back..!!
