Contribuisci feedbackThis was one of two favorite new dinner places I stumbled upon since September.
I have been here a few times now and its wonderfulThe veggies that come out of that oven are so good.
We met friends to dine at the Star for the first time because of great reviews.
Had the cream tea for two. Came with 4 scones and lots of lovely fruit. Also enjoyed the Carrot soup and Earl grey tea. Atmosphere is nice in the back sun room; spacious and bright. Great location with parking and interesting antique shops to browse before/after tea. Highly recommend!
After browsing near by antique shops, we decided to stop in for an afternoon tea. My daughter and I each selected a tea. Hers was as a Earl Grey, mine was a Lemon Black. What we expected was a loose leaf tea, not tea bags. The teas were bland, even with two tea bags in the two cup tea pot. The teas were served in cups that reminded me of my Grandmothers, an eclectic collection of cups and saucers. We also had scones, two each, lemon poppyseed and cranberry raisin, both warmed and delicious. The fresh preserve was an excellent addition to the tasty scones! The tea room is well laid out, very inviting, the music playing in the background made me feel at ease, very enjoyable! A better, fresher tea would make this place so much better!
