The Steading - Strathdon

I love this place! There's inside and outside seating. Inside is cozy and homey. There was a band playing outside as well as in. There was a food truck but I didn't try the food.

Brilliant experience. Dark and wet outside and quite late whenever we arrived but nothing was a problem, good beer and brilliant food. Sausage rolls and pies the highlights. They’d run out of some of the meat and very kindly swapped in sausage rolls and gave us a free round to apologise !

This local pub offers an excellent selection of local spirits! I highly recommend visiting at any time. You'll also get free advice from the locals on what to try.

What a fantastic discovery! It's wonderful to see a new pub that is well-decorated and well-managed in the beautiful Strathdon Valley. When my daughter and I rode in on our bikes, we were delighted to find the bar warm and cozy thanks to a crackling wood-fired stove. The service was incredibly friendly, and the food was delicious. My daughter especially enjoyed the vegetarian options available. The music playlist was excellent as well. Highly recommended!

Cozy little spot with delicious sausage rolls and steak pies. They offer a great selection of malts, both on draft and in bottles. It's a dog-friendly place, and it's also welcoming to walkers and cyclists!
