House of Pumpkin - Strathfield

Love the pat bingsu here as well as the turkish bread with melted cheese! It is located across from Strathfield Station and is particularly crowded around dinner time. Would definitely recommend the oldboy pat bingsu, suitable for warmer weather.

Stopped by House of Pumpkin for dessert after kbbq and got the "Old Boy" patbingsu. Average bingsu but nice oldschool bowl and great ambiance.

Idk why people rated this restaurant so low?!? This is one if my fav!!! Good atmosphere, good music, great service and great for a date. Well the dessert (small boy" was tasty as well. Would recommend. Will come back! Actually i come here like once a two week tho!!!

I was initially intrigued by this place because it kinda looked shabby but traditional, perhaps its uniqueness stood out. However, the menu was very plain and limited. Schnitzels here, schnitzels there. Schnitzels everywhere. I don't get the excitement about schnitzels at all, to me it's just a piece of dried up chicken that is not fresh enough to be roasted and to make the most of it, people deep dry it and make it into a "schnitzel". Nevertheless, this place was expensive and the schnitzel was very mediocre. I would rather have Hotstar chicken than this to be honest. For the price, I'd also go to Bavarian cafe. Would not go again unless intensely pressured or coerced by church people.

If I could give this place a 0 I would..... went in there on my own for a simple drink. Was greeted well enough. Sat down with a menu and told to push the button when I was ready. I decided, so pushed the order button as instructed. I could see my table number come up on the screen. Waited, waited, waited.... nothing. So I pushed it again..... again.... saw the number come up... after 15 mins... I got up and asked if I could order. She took my order. Sat back down.... waited, waited... waited.... nothing. All I wanted was one drink. So I got back up after another good 15 mins... ordered again. She looked at me like - what happened? Sat back down. By this point I was gasping for air as they had just lacquered the floors.... so I asked if I could move outside. I showed the girl where I was sitting... she said yes, no worries and left... and proceeded to bring sooo many other people their drinks... another 10mins went by still nothing.I went back inside and said that I had never had such appalling service in my life. They just smiled and did nothing. So I left. Disgusted. DONT get me wrong - My husband is of Asian background....... so I'm not racist and I don't mean this in a racist way AT ALL - but - I had to wonder - I was the only Caucasian customer.... I really felt quite racially excluded. I will never go back to this bar. And I have told all my friends to do the same.
