My tacos had very little seasoning and a smattering of cilantro and onions. My burrito was mostly cheese with steak thrown in. Again, with almost no flavor/real seasoning or sauce. This isn't authentic Mexican (which isn't what I expected anyway), but it's also not really CaliMex (I say as a Californian). Hopefully I just visited on an off day and they'll improve over time.
Went here to get tacos. Ordered a pollo asado quesadilla and a bottle of water. Ask for an additional small side of guac and said I would pay for it. Quesadilla was 13.00 on the electronic menu directly above the cash register, water 2.00. Cashier rings me up and says total is 28 and change. I ask, how much is the small side of guac? $10. No please remove that. New total also seems high, I ask for an itemized receipt but cannot provide one. He shows me the receipt on screen. Water is now 2.50, I have him remove it. New total also seems high. Same story, quesadilla is $14, not $13 like listed on the menu. I cancel my whole order at this point. I ask to speak to the manager. Cashier reaches out very quickly and is unable to reach manager. Stated was also not able to provide me with any contact info to reach. This felt explicitly shady and deceptive, possibly a scam, would avoid.
Unfortunately this was a massive disappointment. Had the tacos when it was open air but unfortunately the move wasn't for the better. Everything was dry and bland.
I love SLO Coast all around! All the tacos are great. The queso is one of my favorite things to get, sooo tasty. And the new churros are legit, you definitely get your money's worth. I'm never disappointed!
Excellent food easily one of my staple go to favorites. The burrito, quesadilla, tacos are delicious! Don't forget the churros too
