Max Burgers - Stroemstad

This well-known Swedish burger chain has many locations in Sweden and a few in Norway. The restaurant inside the Nordby shopping mall can be quite loud and noisy due to its central and open location. Unfortunately, the service is poor and slow. However, the burgers and fries are quite tasty, and they offer great milkshakes. I recently tried the halloumi burger (a veggie option) and found it to be even better than a regular burger. While Max is a fair alternative to McDonald´s, this particular location may not be their best.

Very short review food was average (which isn't a bad thing! for this sort of establishment. Service was FAST, you walk up to one of several touchscreen terminals, browse the menu, order and pay. A ticket is produced and when that number appears on the screen by the serving area your order is done. I'd say the average waiting time is rarely more than a few minutes, the staff move so fast sometimes it's just a blur of red white uniforms. But I always go there for one reason the milkshakes. Trust me, you will not find a better one anywhere!

From time to time I go to this shopping center, and since I have a good experience with this burger chain elsewhere, I have eaten here too a few times. It is a typical shopping center place crowded, noisy, and sterile, but that is to be expected when you see the location. The good side is that they offer more than just ordinary burgers, they have vegan, vegetarian, gluten free and low carb alternatives. The negative side, is that it's clearly based on tourists who either are not coming back anyway, or who don't have much choice beside this. It doesn't live up to Max' normal standards you almost always get the wrong burger or dead fries, and the slow service doesn't really help. Will I eat there again? Probably, as it is convenient.

I dined at this restaurant on Tuesday, May 1st. I have tried burgers from various places around the world, and while I thought McDonalds was the worst, this burger topped them all as the worst I have ever had. I ordered the triple cheese burger, but after taking one bite, I had to spit it out. The texture of the supposed meat was unbelievable. I even considered taking it to a lab to find out what it really was. I returned my tray of food to the counter and spoke to the manager, who insisted that there was nothing wrong with the burger and that it had a special taste. I asked for it to be cooked more as it was soggy and not hot enough, but he refused. I told him I couldn't eat it and felt like I had wasted my money. No alternative was offered, so I left the food and walked away. Despite seeing many people eating there, I can't understand how anyone could eat that food. I wouldn't even feed it to a dog.

Ok for a quick bite but you will find better fast food around. Fatty and not very delicious. Taste machine made and without heart for good food. Sorry!
