Ben’s is the best, no frills that feed in the production district next to the jack london square. love the maple tofu and singapore style reisnudel. table side fermented black bean sauce is a must.
Our lunch here was fantastic. the eating was super. david, the type that greeted us and waited for us, is really a friendly person, and his father, ben cooks in this wonderful hole-in-the-wall restaurant. we're coming back! we had fried rice and bens chow mine. both were delicious, and the funnel is the chili sauce they make in the house. yum!
Eating was good, although my partner order was wrong and they forget to give her their main meal so that I have to go back and collect. the kerl behind the theke is really nice and friendly where as the young lady worked there seemed more interest in playing on her phone. not suitable in front of the house.
The personal is very nice, also quite funny. very happy people. also the type that served me today was incredibly generous. he gave a young man and I have free drinks. my order came very fast. for the size of the portions and the taste, they are honestly quite cheap. the sweet and sour chicken hong kong style had huge chickens in it. very pleased. will go again when I am in the opposite.
