The Carpenters Arms - Stroud

We called the restaurant and soon after, we went to dine there. The pub is located on a small access lane, and the staff was absolutely fantastic in serving our meals; nothing was too much trouble. A big thank you to Georgie, Minnie, and Molly for their excellent service—it was a pleasure to dine with you. The views from the window are spectacular. If you’re looking for a local pub to relax and have a meal, I highly recommend this place. We visited in the middle of the week when it was quieter, and the lounge area offered a beautiful view of the countryside.

A true community hub that offers something special for the locals! We stayed just across from the village and decided to stop by for dinner one evening. The menu isn't overly extensive, but it's more than sufficient to satisfy hungry travelers, and everything is well-prepared and delicious. The place was quiet on a rainy Tuesday night, but the staff took the time to chat with us and make us feel welcome. I should also mention the beer garden, which boasts the best view of Stroud and the surrounding area. Unfortunately, we couldn't enjoy it due to the weather. Overall, this place is a gem among pubs and restaurants, and it's definitely worth seeking out!

The pub is just a 5-minute walk from Cotswold. We had a fantastic time there enjoying apples, dirty chips, and chocolate wingcakes. The bartenders were charming and entertaining, creating a lively atmosphere. It's a cozy spot with a warm vibe, making it a perfect place to take a little break and relax. Definitely worth a visit!

Identifies it on google maps before as a stop of a 7-hour trip. a so friendly recipe. it also seems a real community hub. we could have stayed all afternoon, but we were waiting for another 3 hours drive. we had drinks and eating, of which everything was an excellent value for money. if we ever fit it into a trip to the future we would certainly return.

Struggle to get in without getting wet as a little thunderstorm started. Once inside, the interior was just fab, a real gem of an unmessed pub, the beer was top marks, the pie and also ham and eggs were perfect. Staff and all customers so friendly, and the laughter from a table celebrating a birthday just made the place so good to be in. Looking forward to returning! Cheers!
