My husband loved the soup and burger, saying they were the best he had ever tasted. I had the cod, which was cooked to perfection. Thank you for a wonderful dinner.
This pub is an absolute dream! Situated in a picturesque Cotswold village, it offers a fantastic atmosphere with an amazing landlord, friendly staff, and delicious food. The clientele is diverse, ranging from locals to travelers passing through. The Field Of Dreams is a place where people from all walks of life come together to share laughs and good times. The traditional village pub also supports the community and local events. I have frequented many pubs in different areas, but this one stands out as truly special. The food is fantastic, the landlord and staff are great, and the overall vibe of the pub and village is wonderful. I highly recommend visiting this gem of a pub.
We recently enjoyed a fantastic meal at the Stirrup Cup. The food was impeccable, as always, and the atmosphere was warm and friendly. We highly recommend this place for a relaxed and enjoyable evening. It was just perfect!
The Stirrup Cup is a wonderful little gem of the Stroud area and is definitely worth a visit. I went on a Wednesday evening with my wife and upon entering the pub we were warmly greeted by the member of staff on the bar. We had reserved in advance and were shown to our table in the window before being asked what we would like to drink. The landlord Julian (who is also the chef) came out to say hello and then we were given the menu to peruse. It was a nice surprise to be presented with a simple uncomplicated menu and as a vegetarian there was enough choice for me too. I had the halloumi burger and my wife had the ham and egg. The food came out in a timely manner and was lovely as were the desserts that we chose too (Eton mess and sticky toffee pudding). The decor of the pub is traditional and inviting and we had a lovely meal that was well cooked and presented. All in all this pub is a must visit it you're in the area.
What a fabulous place, the food was wonderful and the staff so friendly. Our meal was the best and tastiest we have eaten in a long time. We can't wait to return, an absolute gem of a place.
