The staff went above and beyond to assist us with our bags, especially considering we had a toddler and a baby in tow. We are incredibly grateful to the owner and staff for their hospitality and kindness.
This hotel is extremely run-down. I was given a room with a shared shower as the bathroom, and it took forever for the water to come through. The room was in terrible condition and I was so upset that I cried. Unfortunately, I couldn't find other accommodations. The bedding was clean, and the bathroom, although very old, was also clean. The staff were friendly, but I would never stay here again.
Friendly staff, good evening meal and a ‘proper pub’ for a few pints. But the bedrooms are very run down and not cleaned properly. You can’t use the showers unless you like cold (we had 3 rooms all with the same issue). The owner pretended to be surprised and said he’d get a plumber in, but I see people have been complaining about that for several years. Breakfast is basic ‘greasy spoon’ standard, served by a nice friendly chap.
Blink and you might miss it as you pass by. But worth hunting it down. Beware- the website linked to it is the wrong one. Lots to choose from on the menu. Very generous portions. Some interesting Greek dishes as well as more traditional fare. Staff very friendly. Amazing chips!! And a lengthy drinks menu which I wish I had more time to explore. What’s not to like?
This is a great old Inn, The food was great really large potions fit for a king, staff very polite great and very helpful, would recommend to everyone to visit, it is situated in and old medieval market town.
