**Vegetarian options:** There are plenty of vegetarian options available. I particularly enjoy the miso eggplant and both the cold and fried tofu as appetizers. On a hot day, I love the purple sweet potato and cold soba noodles. **Parking:** The restaurant is situated in a small strip mall, so street parking is usually the better option.
I’ve always been intrigued by the sign that says “Japanese Soul Food.” I decided to check it out tonight and was pleasantly surprised by the restaurant's charm and atmosphere. The service was attentive and reliable. When I asked my server for a recommendation, she suggested the combination poke bowl, and it definitely did not disappoint. The flavors were both subtle and bold, and the sake selection was excellent. I will certainly return and highly recommend this place to anyone looking to venture off the beaten path for a fantastic meal at a reasonable price.
This place is an absolute treasure and has been a blessing to the neighborhood for decades. The food is incredible and clearly made with care. I've been coming here for 30 years, and it consistently remains my favorite. The family that owns and operates it are wonderful and kind-hearted people. I can't emphasize enough how much I adore Daichan. Food: 5/5
Amazing service and food. The crispy rice with spicy tuna is phenomenal and the yellowtail sashimi was buttery and delicious. Also very reasonably priced for what you get. The art on the inside is also very interesting.Food: 5/5
