Very enjoyable dinner and the best so far from our two travel to mute this year. the weather was warm enough to sit in the garden, which provided for a nice relaxed eating and ambiente. children could have smaller portions of everything from the adult menu, which is definitely preferable to the usual papp chickens.
We were taken to this restaurant by Austrian business colleagues and it was a real treat. It’s very traditional and yet feels quite contemporary at the same time. I think good Tyrolean restaurants do this as well as anyone. We pretty much tried the specials...which was a great experience. My highlight was Beuschel which is effectively a sliced white sausage made with various organs and offal in a creamy sauce. Service was excellent. It was pretty much out of season so the place was full of locals. Excellent.
We try to come every year during our skitrip to enjoy the atmosphere, food and service in this Gasthof. Yesterday we were looking forward to another treat but it has left us disappointed wondering what happened to the service. Let it be clear, the food...was superb! That being said we were (3pax stuffed in the Stube and went for the 4-course wintermenu. The first 2 courses came at high speed but then you clearly noticed that staff were no longer interested (because of a full house? . The main course took over an hour, the dessert another 30min. Every course was just placed before you without any word. The requested bottle of water was self-service. A big discrepancy with the quality presentation of the food... We remembered that the other times we used to come during weekdays... Better luck next time.
Chef georg and owner hannes with their team are congenial. always fresh, always nice, best value for money.
