Restaurant Finch im Waldhotel Stuttgart

Had a wonderful evening on the terrace. Enjoyed dessert and cocktails with my family. Daniel came to visit with us during our stay and made sure everything was ok. We had the chocolate soufflé and cheesecake desserts that were exquisite. Definitely recommend Finch for dinner and desserts.

Finch is located inside the Waldhotel Stuttgart and offers a great option for those not looking to venture too far for a great meal. Breakfast is €21/ea, and consists of an open buffet where you can serve yourself a full English breakfast amongst other great options (various cheeses, salmon, breads, etc). Champagne and juices are included as well, so you'll have no issue turning your very good breakfast into a great breakfast. We also had lunch at the Finch during our first day. I was looking for something simple like a sandwich or burger, but the menu is more of the 5-star variety. I went with the Waldhotel Salad and a bowl of the coconut Thai curry pumpkin soup. The salad, as you can see in the photo, was gigantic... and delicious. Everything was. The only downside about the Finch is the initial confusion upon walking in. There's no host stand or dedicated greeting area, so you basically walk in amongst the other diners already seated, who all of course stop to stare at the new patrons. The servers are all very busy and it isn't intuitive whether you seat yourself or wait to be seated, so there's this awkward few moments where you're trying to figure it out or be told what to do. That is of course very minor and both experiences at Finch were very good overall.

We were in the forest hotel and restaurant finch several times and it is always a pleasure to eat there. this time we were not disappointed. as starter we had thai kokossuppe and pumpkin variations both very beautiful. The first was the paella and the variation of the backwards and shaft. both dishes a joy to eat. the service is friendly and attentive. of course we will return!
