Fish Dish Fish And Chips

A group of 21 of us had planned to pick up food from this restaurant to eat by the sea, but due to the dark weather and the empty restaurant, we asked if we could dine in. The group consisted of people wanting a full meal, a light snack, or just a drink. However, we were informed that there was a minimum fee of £10 per person to sit down, even if someone just wanted a drink. Despite the restaurant being empty, the owner insisted on this fee. Feeling disappointed, we considered going elsewhere. The owner's abrasive behavior further soured our experience, and we decided to leave without ordering. While I cannot comment on the food, I can say that the restaurant does not seem to be vegetarian-friendly, as their only veggie option was a halloumi hummus burger served with non-vegetarian chips. We ended up going to the Boardwalk Cafe on the pier, where we enjoyed fantastic food, reasonable prices, and delightful staff. My recommendation would be to choose the Boardwalk Cafe over this restaurant.

This restaurant is worth a visit for its large drinks and tasty dishes. I am originally from the North where parmo is a popular dish, and I must say that the fish parmo here is a 10/10. I had jalapenos on mine, while my partner had blue cheese on hers, and both were delicious. Everything was cooked perfectly. I always chat with the owner, who used to work in Whitby and brought the parmo recipe with him. The staff are friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back.

My wife and I come from Ipswich and always visit the Fish Dish for a take away. We had a friend from London who arrived yesterday and we decided to bring her to Felixstowe for F C’s and watch the boats. When I checked...the web site for opening hours, I was disappointed to find it was closed on Mondays. I found another shop that was open but when we arrived at the Sea Rd roundabout my wife suddenly said about checking to see if the FD was open. It was. The rest, as they say, is history. 5 stars again!

You can get fish and chips anywhere. What characterises Fish Dish is the absolute commitment to quality the quality of the fish, the homemade mushy peas and tartare sauce, the quality of the service. This is a team that exude pride in what they...do. I've written about the restaurant before. Since then they've undergone a big refurbishment, and made their restaurant even better. I love the photographs on the wall of the restaurant in its earlier days a sense of a place that knows its history. I love the personal welcome we always get from Alpert and Sarka. I especially love the attention to making sure the food is just right. If you're in or near Felixstowe, you'll see lots of fish and chips being sold. Head here, opposite the pier, and enjoy Felixstowe's finest.

Top Quality Fish and Chips restaurant. Easy to understand how they won their award for Top 10 Fish and chips Restaurants in whole UK. Very attentive staff plenty of choices for the whole family. Very helpful in the community during the pandemic. Great background music.. with wine and beer too… definitely worth a visit.
