Hippo Ice - Sugar Land

Seriously favorite dessert place ever! If I'm going to Houston, I'll make a special trip to Sugarland to get here. Hippo ice cream is a very unique concept that offers a new (and improved) spin on shaved ice, offering a variety of from the usual aromas such as green tea, almonds, milk tea and avocado. The portion size is very large and worth every penny. This place is a must for anyone who crosses the area. If there were more than 5 stars, I would give it absolutely excellent. I wish they had a location in Dallas!

This is the best place ever! My roommate introduced it to me a few days after opening and now I'm going at least twice a week! The staff is so friendly, the place is sweet, and of course their shaved ice to the bomb! I have tried all the flavors and I have to say Avocado is by far my Fav but they are all really good

The first time here, as it's new property. Ordnete the mango/red beans shaved ice cream with cookies n cream, chocolate chips and whips cream topping, the shaved ice cream was fluffy and soft. Love the atmosphere of this place, everyone is so friendly and welcoming, it is a great place to hang with friends and family.

My wife and I have been driving this place for some time and decided to look by curiosity. I'm glad we took the chance, because we were pleasantly surprised. I have a green tea with lychee, and my wife had a strawberry with passion fruit. I was never a big fan of candy, like cakes, ice cream or candy, but my wife is! It wasn't too sweet, but only sweet enough to appease my wife's sweet tooth. You have a wide selection of flavors, as long as we get the same great service, I will be back to try everything on the menu in time!!!!

My boyfriend and I loved your shaved ice and we sadly drove up to see that your location said permanently closed. We 100% will miss you guys, your shaved ice, the environment and workers. If you ever reopen anywhere we'd be thrilled to continue to be your customers. Hope for the best for you guys and I want to thank you for making our dates great and special.
