Habaneros - Sumiton

I really love this restaurant, but I was quite upset about the way they handled the weather situation. If there truly had been a threat in Jefferson County, the manager, Walker, didn't seem to care about our safety at all. Thankfully, the threat wasn’t in Sumiton/Dora, and no one in the building was in danger. It doesn’t seem like they prioritize finding a safe environment for everyone.

We dine here nearly every week, and the service is consistently friendly and attentive. The food is always delicious. This is definitely our favorite Mexican restaurant!

It seems like I ended up with the wrong server because he took our order, but I never received my guacamole. I had to share my drink with my daughter, so I ended up going the last half of the meal without anything to drink. We ordered the fajitas for two, and while the food wasn't bad, it could have been better if the chef had coordinated better—half the meal, including the meat and peppers, arrived five minutes late. After that, the waiter never came back to our table. I had to go find a waitress who was just leaning on the counter on her phone to ask for the bill and some takeout boxes.
