Great service from stepping in the door, and the waiter was able to give us a meat tour to show what they have to offer as it was my first time. The steak was amazing and sides are shareable so don’t over order. We had a window seat upstairs and it was just a perfect night to experience Halls!
20 Oz Kansas city strip, cooked great and dry aged flavor was really good. Server said it was 68-72 days dry aged. It was pricey, but for that much dry aging and 20oz, price is on par for this type of steakhouse. Beet salad was good, but seemed to be missing something to give it that little extra flavor (maybe some more crumbled cheese? . Honey for the beets was a nice touch as were the candied nuts and mandarin orange pieces. Visually, it looked really nice with the different colored beets. She crab soup was a bit thinner than I'm used to, but had a good taste and a few solid chunks of crab meat. I can't say whether or not it's always on the thinner side or not. We were celebrating a birthday and waiter brought a really nice sized piece of chocolate layer cake (on the house . Nice ambiance, Would definitely go again.
I have new favorite! I am a bit of a steak aficionado and I must say they provided one of thee best quality steaks that I’ve ever had. Everything that came out of the kitchen was very well balanced. I don’t say this much but it was perfect ! And our waitress and service Was excellent.
I’ll give this place a Five star rating. Other reviews stated it was over priced for the food. When you dine at this level it does costs. Compared to the other steak places this is in top 3. Ribeye was flavorful, cooked perfectly and well seasoned. The filet’s was tender cooked perfectly and very tasty accompanying with the truffle butter. The Brussels sprouts was cooked excellent, the pepper Jack corn was a good choice for one of the sides. Mac and cheese always a staple. The dishes the sides on a side accompanying plate which is a nice touch not to crowd the main dinner steak. Everyone was very attentive and glasses never more then half empty. Halls Chophouse is a must visit. Reservations are needed as this is a very hopping place.
Very nice and fancy ambiance. Most people going there are well dressed. When I went there it was a bit crowded and thought that an isle seat won't be great, but I was confortable. Servers are very polite. The food is nice but the flavors were a bit lacking for me. They were basic for such a fancy place. I've hard tastier for cheaper at some European restaurant but yet again it's a coastal area so it adds a bit to the cost. Very nice place overall. I'll recommend
