Pagoda - Summerville

I have been going here for years and this was the first time that the teriyaki chicken didn’t look or taste like chicken. It was very chewy and fatty. When I googled it. It said dog or snake. They probably have a shortage on meat so do not eat here. I was very disappointed and will not go back there.

Ok ok ok I don’t have high expectations for most Chinese Restaurants when they have a billion boxes in the area formerly known as the dining area. It was a standard Chinese restaurant but I had the feel that I wasn’t going to be impressed by the food…it was even deeper because I was depressed as I continued through my meal. I started off with a little hot and sour soup…not bad but still missing something. Now the Sichuan Chicken had a different odor but I was hungry and since I ordered it extra spicy I chalked it up to that…I started tasting the concoction and the smell was very reminiscent of a place with a heavy amount of roaches and I instantly stopped eating and threw it away. This place needs to be investigated not given multiple stars in my opinion…first and last visit ever. Stay away for your health and wellness

Placed an order over the phone and found out they don't take payments over the phone . Said it would take 20 minutes got there and was there for an additional 30 minutes and then told me they ran out of shrimp so I had to get something else after being there for 30 minutes. Was barely any room to stand and wait for your food since the dining room is blocked off . Food was ok . In my opinion not really worth the wait , aggravation and hassle. Plenty of other and better Chinese restaurants in the area

ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING FOOD!! Please, believe the other reviews and don’t do what I did! The chicken tastes sorta like fish and sorta like another type of meat. We lost our appetite after 1 bite and had to throw everything away. I will never return here, I honestly don’t think it was chicken that I was served. Waste of money and time. Pagoda is not anywhere near what it used to be. BUYER BEWARE!!!

Prices high. Inside of business is a disaster with only a 4x4 area to stand in and order/pick up food. No fortune cookies. No military discount. The filling in the wontons was CHUNKY, like cottage cheese chunky. Chicken was either undercooked or out of date. Pork in rice was like chewing on gummy erasers. Cabbage in egg rolls appeared old. The people at the counter were nice enough, and food was prepared quickly. I am still feeling grossed out and I gave up trying to eat it almost two hours ago.
