Toast Summerville

On Valentine's Day, we had reservations at 7pm and arrived on time, but had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated. After finally being seated, we waited another 30 minutes for our appetizers and an additional 15 minutes for our entrees. Unfortunately, the kitchen ran out of some food causing our dishes to be served cold and needing to be sent back. Despite the servers being gracious and apologetic, this was one of the worst dining experiences we have had in a while. It's a shame since our past experiences at this restaurant have always been positive.

Good food and plenty of it. Good service and right on time.

I have not tried their breakfast, but I was not impressed with their dinner. I received cold mashed potatoes with an awful tasting gravy that I couldn't eat, and I was charged for it.

Our waitress was great, but our food was so so. Everybody at the table the grids in every bowl of grits was ice cold.

Saw this restaurant list as a top for Summerville. I really don’t know how they came up with that. We went at on a Friday for dinner. Not very busy. Should have been a clue. Service was okay even though she forgot our corn bread (which were actually pre-packaged corn bread muffins), the chicken was pretty good but my meatloaf was really not very good. Had to pay extra for asparagus which was mostly tasteless. There plating is nonexistent. With all that being said the prices were on the high side for the quality. Oh and as for ambiance, there is none, unless you consider shabby and worn as good thing. We didn’t. Probably won’t be going back, which I can only gather is the reason for the lack of patrons.
