Although I’m not fan of sitting and eating food with people you don’t know, that’s how hibachi restaurants are set up and run. So if you don’t like that, don’t go. I had a really cozy feel to it and I really recommend this place. I took a picture of the food but had already started eating from it so forgive me.
They have a numerous variety of sashimi. Samurai dinner is recommended for children if they don't eat raw food. Baked oyster is enjoyable. Fish roe quail egg sushi is especially good, high quality fish roe, and a fish tank with a pond in the lobby, very special atmosphere.
Called to make a reservation and was offered 5pm over the phone. We received a text message confirmation for our reservation. When we arrived we checked in and proceeded to wait over an hour to be seated. 3 other parties also had reservations at 5pm through the same confirmation method. All of us were told that they do not do reservations even though we showed confirmation messages and said we called and made them. Once finally seated we waited over another hour for a chef to even come and cook our food. We were not given any explanation for this and watched multiple tables that arrived and were seated much later than us have their food cooked and served. Completely unacceptable customer service to not even give explanations and tell 3 different parties that their reservations were not valid and then served others before even serving those with confirmation of reservations. And even more so no explanation of why we had to wait as additional hour to even get a chef to cook our food. Very disappointed.
Wait was quoted 45. It was right at an hour. No biggie. Once we were sat we proceeded to wait another hour waiting on our hibachi chef. The server and hostesses were great and even the hibachi chef was great. My complaint is we arrived at 7pm was sat at 8pm and didn't get fed until 920pm. That's a little ridiculous on time management. So the wait was not 45 minutes, you should have just said 2 hours. We sat at the bar while waiting and the bartender was great! Also a few sanitary things noted was several of the staff were setting the serving trays on the hot grills and they were visibly melting. The bottoms of those trays are notoriously gross and really should be set on a cooking surface. Unfortunately, this was the second bad experience I have had at this location.
Our server was Patty. She was the best we have ever encountered at any hibachi we have ever visited! Service is always good, but she made our meal extra enjoyable.
