Very good food that was cooked as ordered. the personal was also very pleasant. in any case this place would recommend.

This was the best breakfast I've ever had at a restaurant! My wife and I absolutely loved it! She even considered making the 3.5-hour drive back just to have breakfast here again. The waiting staff was fantastic, the chefs did an amazing job, and the food was excellent! We will definitely return anytime we're in the Madison/Sun Prairie area. I've been coming to this restaurant for over 20 years. My father used to have breakfast here even before we were born, creating many wonderful memories. Every time I get the chance to eat here, it's always my top choice. The food is exceptional, and I can't recommend the Country Cafe enough!

The calamari was cooked to perfection—crispy without being greasy, with just the right amount of batter. I’d have a hard time recreating this dish at home! My wife’s pasta was cooked al dente, and the meatballs were not only generous in size but also incredibly flavorful, showcasing excellent meat quality. As for my burger, it was a half-pound masterpiece, skillfully prepared with Swiss cheese, perfectly cooked speck, sautéed mushrooms, a thick slice of tomato, and fresh greens—thankfully not iceberg—served on a delicious brioche bun. I added pickled jalapeños for an extra kick. The accompanying fries were fresh and hot; everything was served at the perfect temperature. I have to say, this burger was better than what I've had at other renowned establishments like Big Dane or Old Fashioned, as well as those popular gourmet pubs in the area. We live just a short distance from downtown Madison, and now, if I want a truly great burger, I find myself making the trip to Sun Prairie. It's also worth mentioning that the owners received a local award for excellence in dining in 2022, and the food critic gave them an outstanding score—which we wholeheartedly agree with!
