Abraham Lincoln Brasserie - Sunderland

Booked hotel for afternoon to celebrate mammut 90th birthday. we had restaurant for us, nicely decorated. for all needs, e.g. vegetarian. it didn't feel rushed at all. kamila and kirsty were very professional and friendly. a great afternoon had and my mam enjoyed...it would recommend.

Our culinary experience was great at our first stay, beautiful attentive employees (especially andrea and really pleasant eating. unfortunately the same cannot be said by our second evening in this restaurant. at david at the door from 7 minutes to 8 with half an empty dining room, we were told to go back to the bar and wait to sit until 7 minutes. we could not quite understand why we were not able to wait at one of the many empty tables in the dining room and so set the ton for our experience. After we enjoyed some of our previous decisions so much, we decided to find our appetizers in the second night only to find inconsistency in the style and content of the dishes. as vegetarian we ordered a main dish that came on the table, not in the description on the menu and we were very disappointed. we brought this to david's attention and let the meal take off the bill, but the experience had left a clear blow to our evening. we also experienced inconvenience in the morning during the breakfast, where the same court came to us every day differently. in an industry where the competition is a high resistance the key to maintaining customer satisfaction; this restaurant did not give us the atem to recommend it to others in the future. :

Good tasty eating and plentiful. happy service of helpful staff and beautiful environment. a lady was in the wheelchair and the staff was really helpful.

Did not realise that there was a separate category for this restaurant so have let a full review on the hotel main listing. Basically the service for a wedding reception was absolutely disgusting!!!!! Guests from two different weddings were herded together in one very small...bar and facilities paid for by one couple was abused by guests of the other party. I hasten to add not the guests faults. Just lack of management to keep two parties separate. Please read my full review on the mecure George Washington listing. Absolutely appalled that two brides and grooms were let down so badly by the inability of management to cater for two wedding parties. DO NOT USE FOR WEDDING RECEPTION.
