Pagoda Chinese Takeaway - Sunderland

Avoid this restaurant at all costs since the new management took over. I ordered half a chicken, but only received a quarter. The food was overcooked, resulting in dry and tough chicken, and chips so overdone that they were essentially hollow shells. It was difficult to communicate with the staff. Save yourself the trouble and find a different place to eat.

We ordered prawn egg foo yung, special fried rice, noodles, chips, and a carton of gravy for £19.30. Unfortunately, the meal was a huge disappointment. The gravy was sickly sweet, which ruined the entire dish. None of us could even finish our meals as it was too overpowering. When we tried to complain to the takeaway, they refused to listen and offered no compensation. They even suggested we order a different type of gravy that wasn't even on the menu. After insisting on speaking to a manager, we were told that he didn't speak English. To make matters worse, shortly after eating, I experienced stomach issues and my wife started vomiting. I strongly advise avoiding this takeaway for the sake of your health. We never received an explanation for the sweet gravy.

This was the worst Chinese I have ever tasted. Put the whole meal in the bin. The prawns were raw. Please don't waste your money.

This restaurant was absolutely terrible! I wouldn't even give it one star. The person who answered the phone was not helpful at all and the egg foo young was burnt to a crisp, with hardly any egg in it. It was by far the worst $15 I've ever spent. Save yourself the trouble because when you call, they don't care at all.

Jellified meat, awful. Not sure what meat they are using but its definitely not edible. Very disappointing.
