Shopna Tandoori - Sunderland

We tried several new trendy Indian restaurants without being impressed, so we decided to order from Shopna again. We ordered a banquet meal and a beef madras curry. Although we are not big eaters, there was enough food for us to enjoy a second meal the following day. The food was delicious and ready on time. We will definitely order from Shopna again.

I have had issues with Indian cuisine in the past, as the food often smells delicious and looks amazing, but fails to deliver in taste. However, I am happy to report that our recent meals from this restaurant have been some of the most enjoyable curries we've had in a long time. The first meal was so good that we ordered it again a few days later, and the quality was consistent. Unfortunately, our third order, a week later, was a letdown compared to the previous two. It seems like it was prepared by a different chef, as the flavor and preparation were not up to par. Additionally, we received complimentary poppadoms with the first two meals, but not with the third. Consistency in both the quality of the food and service is crucial for maintaining customer loyalty. Every meal should be of equal appearance and quality, no matter who is preparing it.

We tried Shopna Tandoori after seeing recommendations on FB. So glad we did, food was exceptional and it was delivered earlier than we expected. Hubby is a bit fussy with Indian food but even he said it was really good!

Ordered through just eat apparently their delivery driver thinks 2 miles is too far to deliver only rang after 15 mins waste of space

Really disappointed in the meals we ordered. Bland tasting, raw chips and cold meals when they arrived (late).. Also to find a piece of plastic in one of the curries. We won’t be ordering from here again.
