The Place Café Bistro - Sunderland

I visit this restaurant every week, and I'm consistently impressed. Recently, I enjoyed an incredibly affordable English breakfast that was simply outstanding. Today, I had a delightful black Sunday dinner that was absolutely delicious—the crackling was fantastic and everything else was great too. The prices here are unbeatable, and the wait time is minimal. I am very pleased with this restaurant and will definitely continue to come back regularly.

The venue is beautiful, with a lovely ambiance created by soft background music. The staff is extremely attentive, friendly, and professional, making guests feel like royalty. The dining experience is excellent, with great prices and a wide selection of drinks. The owner is kind and takes great care of the establishment. For a Sunday brunch, this place is undoubtedly one of the best in town. I highly recommend it for private gatherings—I’ve celebrated two family events here, and both were exceptional, earning a five-star rating. The menu is fantastic, offering a range of options including halal, vegetarian, gluten-free, and healthy choices. You really can't go wrong!

Excellent food, service, staff very friendly spot on will visit again

Love this little cafe! I used to go here with friends and family regularly before it closed for some reason. Their toad in the hole was my fave dish and they also were good value for money. Hopefully it opens up again soon.
