Bento Express - Sunnyvale

This restaurant offers some of the most authentic Taiwanese cuisine in the area. The variety of side dishes is impressive, featuring vegetables, bean curds, and, if you're fortunate, sweet-and-sour chicken—all included with the bento box price. You also have the option to replace the rice with an additional side for just $1 or $2. Although prices have risen significantly in recent years, making it less frequent for us to visit, it remains one of my favorite spots.

Authentic Taiwanese bento boxes with generous portion sizes at great prices. Expect to see lines during meal times, but they move swiftly. Overall, I would rate the food a solid 4 out of 5.

Fast, friendly service and delicious food at great prices! I tried the #1 braised pork and the #9 popcorn chicken, along with a variety of sides like mushrooms, bok choy, tofu, cabbage salad, sweet and sour chicken, broccoli, and glass noodles. I was a bit unsure about ordering in a different language, but I thought a smile would help. To my surprise, all the staff switched between languages effortlessly and with friendly smiles! We can come back and always have something new, as there are so many options. Happy Lunar New Year!

The food is excellent and the portion sizes are generous for the price. The bento box includes one main dish and four side items. There’s a slight discount available for cash payments. The restaurant is located in a strip mall near CVS. Overall, I would rate the food a perfect 5 out of 5.
