We sampled a platter featuring beef and lamb kebabs, chicken tikka, and saffron rice. The meat was succulent and bursting with flavor, particularly the kebabs, which paired perfectly with the fragrant and fluffy rice. Their lavash with yogurt dip, made with cucumber, was also delicious and complemented the rice and meats wonderfully. Additionally, a roasted tomato on the side added an extra depth of flavor to the dish. Service was efficient, the meat is halal, and the portion sizes are generous.
I tried the kabobs at this restaurant and they were the best I have ever had. I ordered the #16 “special for two” and also enjoyed the dough drink and watermelon juice. The woman working there was very friendly and the restaurant had a nice decoration. It was not very crowded, but I will definitely be returning in the future!
I went to the restaurant the day after Thanksgiving to see if they were open. When the owner answered the phone, his voice sounded robotic at first, but then I realized it was a real person. He was very rude when I asked if they were open, replying sharply with "Why ask if we are open?" I didn't get a chance to try the food, but based on the owner's disrespectful attitude, I wouldn't want to give him my business.
House of Kabobs is a small mother and pop shop in Sunnyvale. You have a small menu, but the kabobs are well marinated, juicy and delicate! Please note that the wort could be something on the heavy side, so be ready to pair with some rice. The humus is also great, smooth, silky and tasteful. I will definitely come back for more kabobs.
Hard, overcooked meat. some of them tasted pampered or out, and it was used hard in msg to mask it. the tomats looked beautiful and carved from outside, but were completely raw on the inside. probably some of the worst Mediterranean food in the bay.
