The fire pit was inviting, the lights were on, the gal at the inside counter said she didn't open until 4:30. So we walked upstairs to the Owl's Nest bar and carried our drinks down to the patio.
SHOCKINGLY low level of food quality, mixed with extreme overpricing. You can get a better quality sandwich wrap at 7 Eleven. But you pay 16 dollars tip for it here.
Over priced, under quality. A kid's hotdog that come out cool (my 4 year old commented on that) for $9?!?! No salad option, no vegetarian option other than a $17.50 black beans burger of which I can buy a 4 pack at the country store for $5. Give me a break and get some real options. Only redeeming thing is the view from the patio and the big grassy area for kids to run around while the adults wait on the slowest service on the planet.
Ummm.. This place is not actually open at 9am on Sundays. The gift shop is, but the cafe is not. I went in at 10am and the cafe was closed off, all they had was drip coffee in airpots.... Which would have been fine if that's what I'd been expecting at all (and there wasn't better coffee already available in my room.... I'll try the actual cafe again later and hope for the best
