Dà Dǎo Běn Zhèn Chá Wū

I visited again this year as the season for my favorite "orange hot pot" has arrived. Proper COVID-19 measures are in place, and there are "my tongs" at the vegetable corner, so you can take vegetables without sharing with others. You can enjoy orange hot pot with tender meat. The oranges can be eaten with the peel. The staff kindly explained how to eat it, which made me happy. Vegetables are all-you-can-eat with a drink bar. The "meringue porridge" at the end is delicious and fluffy. There is also ice cream at the end. The cost performance is excellent, and it was very delicious. It can get crowded, so I recommend making a reservation.

Cross the Oshima Ohashi Bridge and turn left. You will see the entrance in just 1 minute by car. This restaurant specializes in hot pot dishes such as shabu-shabu, and also offers rice bowls that can be ordered separately. They have a drink bar, delicious staff meals (the curry is especially tasty), and a variety of desserts such as ice cream. Inside the restaurant, you can see Japan's largest Suigun Taiko drums, as well as the famous Ohashi Bridge and rapid currents of the Ohata Seto, making it a popular tourist spot. Nearby, you can enjoy the scenic views at the Ootomane Shrine, which has origins in the Kojiki (the oldest chronicle of Japan), and the Iinoyama Observatory, which offers stunning views of the Seto Inland Sea. Notably, the hot pot dishes cater to a wide range of ages, making it suitable for young children as well. Even if you want to dine out with young children and find that kids' meals lack vegetables, hot pot dishes are easy for children to eat and offer a variety of vegetables. Personally, I frequently dine out with my young children and often rely on the understanding and helpful staff. This restaurant is frequented by locals as well, fostering connections and conversations among people. The winter limited edition "mikan (mandarin orange) hot pot" is also very popular.

Four of us had a meal at this restaurant for 4000 yen. The food was delicious and the portion sizes were ample. The drink bar was included for free. The view was also great. Best value for money!

2020/12訪問 まずは注意点を下記に… 苦笑 ホンダのギャザスナビがクソ性能なのかは不明ですが、周防大島に入って直ぐに左折。 左折したらナビを宛にして行くと痛い目に遭う可能性があるのでお店の看板が見えたら素直に従って下さい。 国道437号を鋭角に右折、県道104号に入るような案内が出たらあなたのナビもクソ性能です 笑 看板を見落としたり興味本意で県道に入って奥まで進むと夜間は中々に怖いいわゆる険道のお出ましです 笑 まあ、そっちに行って初めて出会える景色があるのもまた事実ですが、そういう趣味のない方にはオススメ致しません。 気になるお味や接客については申し分なく、地元民相手だけでなく観光客も多いのかとても丁寧にシステムを説明してくれますので初めてでも安心です。 1人で来ていた可愛いお姉さんも満足そうに帰っていったので女性のみでも全然安心でしょう。 あのお姉さん…可愛かったな…連れが居なかったら声掛けたかったぞ 笑 話しがそれましたが、お味の方も大変美味しく、初めての「みかん鍋」でしたがさっぱりしていていくらでも食べられる感じでした。 近くに来たら寄って損はない。 また、看板野良猫？が毛艶もガタイもよく、何度も侵入しようと試みる姿に癒された。
