Batts Grill - Surf City

Was not impressed by the food, but that wasn 't the worst part!! The service was absolutely terrible. When my waitress brought me the bill I asked her if she had another pen I could use. The one she brought was not working, her response to me was I will let you use one of mine, but if you steal it your liable to have your throat slit! Then she walked off!! My 9 year old was in tears, and I asked to speak to a manager. I was told no manager was on site and they did not know when one would be available. I will never return to such a place!!!!

Visited Oct 2011 food cold, poor service, kitchen seems high all the time and loud. good luck on getting a drink refiled you have to do it yourself. The guy that use to help doesn't anymore doing tables and cleaning floors the place is a mess, tables dirty, floors dirty, waitresses complaining all the time, wanting to get off work or their ailments especially on first shift.This is the worst service we have even gotten in this restaurant they might as well close down second shift The service is so slow, poor wait staff, and cold food, even if you send it back and it takes to long to get our food

The double cheeseburger an ff an tea for 3.50 good price if you like to eat fake burger the worst burger ive ever tried to eat..

This is the best place to eat when you are on the island the people are very nice and the place is very clean. we always eat there when ever we are there on vacation. we know one of the girl's that work's there and she is real nice to us and she has become our friend as well. we have not seen her in two years but that is okay. the place is still good to eat at every one needs to try the pork chop's you can cut them with a butter knife and the sweet tea is to die for we always get a glass to go.if it was not so for to drive to we would eat there every night, and the prices are great any one can afford to eat there.

Yea, for the last review,,,true true...ask for lemons on 1st shift u won't get any or say they are out, but ask 2nd they will try to get you some or find some mysteriously out on 1st shift. And it was a weekend NO DELIVERIES....Language of some of the women customers could use some improvement TRUE..customers have left..the restaurant with one regular Northerner a man)and the local women regulars talking said they were disgusted at the talk in the restaurant by customers. Talk in the kitchen is questionable true cussing all the time yelling at the waitresses, when they are busy themselves and can't jump at the exact moment because of being on a register or waiting on a table. Redheaded cook is the one yelling all the time...I think she has a mental problem.though...food is blah blah. One young guy seems to care that works in the kitchen and another guy helping out in the restaurant..and the waitresses on second are the greatest..the others on other shifts tend to smoke outside the restaurant or too interested in their cell phones....the older waitress on 1st is a very considerate person and caring.
