Malones Irish Pub - Surfdale

Fantastic pub. Rustic charm, great food, great service and a relaxed atmosphere. Also a great place for live music. I would recommend Malones to everyone.

A great lil Waiheke gem. A must visit on a night out on Waiheke or an afternoon pint and meal. One of the oldest hospitality businesses on the island and a great little tavern/bar. From the open mic nights, to the live music and djs on the weekend, all rugby games, league, cricket, sailing etc this is your proper live music Irish sports bar. I’ve eaten many a meals here and i can assure you every time the food has been incredible, one of my faves is the lamb shank with mushy peas, mash and gravy. Hearty whole meals cooked great every time. Pool and darts aswell it’s a right little venue for a bit of time out or partying. Plus the only place to get a proper Guiness on the Island. Possibly the best Guiness in NZ. 5/5

We left our run a bit late finding a restaurant on a Thursday night on Waiheke. We stumbled across Malones who were winding down for the night. My wife is Keto and they went above and beyond to make her a keto meal that wasn't on the menu! Definitely worth stopping in for a Guinness, friendly smile and great service!

Had a lovely pizza with beer! Delicious abd friendly service.
