As well as the prawns, oysters, fish and green lipped mussels there were chicken and meat dishes accompanied by fresh salads. Dessert consisted of cake and small slices but no ice cream. As has been commented in other reviews, the hot food was only warm which was disappointing. The Al la Carte menu looked better. Staff were efficient and friendly and explained both choices. We felt the buffet was overpriced for one person but as Accor members, our dining experience was reasonable for both. The breakfast buffet was more enjoyable, reasonably priced and offered a wide variety of choices. We will know what to choose for dinner next visit!
We would not have found Hanlan's had our iVenture cards not included it. The food was amazing! We were especially fond of the Prawns. We also enjoyed the selection of food, there was something for all three of my pretty picky children. The staff was also on top of their game refilling our drinks when needed and clearing our plates right after we were done with them. Overall it was a delicious food experience!
Arrived for our 6pm booking on a Thursday night with four people and the place looked deserted. It picked up a little over the hour we were there, but there was still plenty of open tables. We ate at the buffet. The staff were friendly and almost too attentive, although at the same time they forgot a drink order at one point. The seafood was pretty disappointing, both in selection and quality--especially since this is the main selling point on the website: their "spectacular seafood dinner buffet". Unless they have different nights for seafood specifically, like a bunch of other places do (which isn't marked anywhere I could find), I don't think anyone could have called it "spectacular".The fish and mussels in the hot food section (Barra, I think) was an improvement on the selection offered in the cold section (prawns, oysters, and mussels). Although the oysters and mussels were edible, the prawns were depressing. I've had worse prawns, but I'd definitely say these were among some of the worst prawns I'd had this close to the coast. With that out of the way, our whole table agreed that the rest of the hot food selections were quite tasty, although there weren't that many. The dessert selection was alright, although there was no ice cream (I'm addicted to soft serve, I swear). I'd say the macarons and filled pastries stood out to me the most, as they were really good. The staff were really lovely, even coming out with chocolate lava cakes and a sparkler, since it was my birthday. I regret not being able to finish them, as we were just about to leave when they came out, so we were all too full to eat them both.I probably won't return to eat at the buffet and nor would I recommend it - for the price, I really expected better.
We waited for 20 minutes after being seated (which took a while in and of itself) and didn't have a single server come up to the table. With a restaurant that wasn't more than a quarter full and at least 5 servers on table service I'm utterly disappointed. We ended up leaving without ordering anything.
My husband and i went here for dinner and it was nice. Being Accor Plus members we only paid $59 for us both rather then each. The seafood was lovely the prawns were huge and tasty as were the mussels and oysters. Nice salad choices and hot dishes were good. Only dissappointing thing was the desserts not much variety mainly only finger type desserts and couldnt even see any icecream. All in all an enjoyable meal. We have been spoilt having our accor card as we can never see value if we had to pay full price.(but that's with any restaurant) Having our card has been an awesome investment
