Jetty Shack - Surfside Beach

We really enjoyed our visit here. The bear was ice cold, and both the food and service were awesome. Hubby had the philly cheesesteak with onion rings and I had the steakhouse burger with fries. We also got the fried cheese sticks and jalapeno poppers and they were great. We will definitely be back when we visit Freeport again.

If you come to the island and want true Surfside flavor, come to the Shack. They have really good food, a locals' hangout, and folks are always welcoming even if you get a sideways glance as you walk in they treat you like family.

We come down to surf side a few times a year and this place is a must for everyone. Headed there in about an hour before we head home.

Even if you are STARVING, just starve because this place will only make you want to eat the dirt on the floor. Not only were the workers rude, they were racist and overcharged us because they are jealous that not even a tanning bed could get them to our level of gorgeous tan. DO NOT GO HERE. Save your time, energy, and money.

Let 's just say, if all you want to know is how the food is, I 'll say the burgers were actually pretty good. With that being said, service with a smile does NOT exist. When you walk in they are just sooo excited you 're there and sooo happy to serve you. And then you 're gonna pay a ridiculously insane price for your food. Don 't think the price you see on Google is the same price as inside, because ultimately I think they just make it up as you go. 2 burgers with fries, and 2 appetizers cost me $50 ??
