The washrooms are also very dirty, with spiderwebs, dirt piles, and scandalous toilets. The staff seems uninterested in serving customers. I ordered a BOGO special but was charged full price for both items. I will never return to this grimy and filthy Dairy Queen.
I approach and I have lived in north delta for most of my life and just a few minutes away from this place. it looks the same as it was when I drove there with my friends. you would think they would come with the time and modernize them, but no. I don't think the owner has invested something in this place since the father of our premier minister has run the country. every time I go there when it is not so summer, it is dead(may be the reason why they cannot afford to update even if it is dead, the three or so employees take their time to make their order. to get to the front entrance, they must be almost an Olympic hurdler to climb on the cement it is so high. Why I don't see seniors, there's no secret. the dq next to my work in richmond is far superior in service, friendly setting and atmosphere (even if it is the size) a North Delta Eye sore
During the lunch hour on Tuesday, I found that the tables were empty and no one was at the restaurant. I initially thought it was closed but it was actually open. I ordered lunch and it took a while because it was made fresh. The floor was sticky wherever I walked and everything, including the table benches, walls, and doors, was dirty. Even the ketchup packs were dirty. The staff seemed nice but the chaos was unacceptable. I love Dairy Queen, but I would recommend avoiding this location. I wonder if Dairy Queen headquarters is aware of how poorly their brand is being represented here.
I got to watch the employee making my meal place her hands into shredded cheese times while my meal was cooking and then usung those same hands to now touch my food as it kept falling out of the basket. I refused the meal...and told...oh she is new! So in other words...STAFF IS NOT TRAINED IN THE MOST BASIC OF HEALTH RULES!!
Visited here for Miracle Treat day. The location is easily accessible off Scott Road and has plenty of parking. Their food and ice cream are standard DQ fare prepared the same as any other location. The restaurant itself is quite large and good for sports...teams to visit but is in dire need of an upgrade. On busy days the queue is complete chaos, booths are uncomfortable and the overall look and feel is dreary.
