Lee Yuen Chinese - Surrey

We've been here at least once or twice a month for 5 years and find it pretty good. The set menus are good for the amount you receive. The food is always delicious and the service was always friendly....We have never had complaints before.

We have been going to Lee Yuen for decades, though out of the way and more dingy, the service was good and food as well as you could get for Surrey area. My birthday dinner was awful. Service was not available. Seated, long waiting between courts that were LADEN with MSG. The fried duck was dry (no juice) and must have looked to death! All bones. Almond chicken good, but loaded with MSG, from 1st bite a reaction. From snow beans, so substituted beef with green beans. Dish came 30-40 minutes. to others. COLD, not lukewarm, but cool-cold, even the plate served on was COLD! And the thick plates of chewing beef saturated in MSG!!! Attentioned to the staff that the food was cold. NOTE DONE (no heat offer, no discount yet) So we packed food (still hungry), paid and left. We were both sick within 1/2 hours. Worse food, service, culinary experience and waste of $70 meal. Unless you have a high tolerance to edible MSG additive and the time for no service.... avoid Lee Yuen. Will never return.

Always very busy. Lee Yuen's restaurant has been in Surrey for Chinese dishes for over 20 years. Like most restaurants, they had their ascent and descent, but we were always loyal. In this last New Year we celebrated our 50th anniversary. Jubilee...and thought it rather nostalgic, so ordered by them and decided to order our order the day before to be sure that we get it on time at 6:30 to 7. You said no problem, thank you for the preorder. 630 came, then 7, then 8, and 9, but our order never arrived. We tried to make calls, but they were not picked up and the intelligence service was full so that not even a message could leave. Understanding the New Year's Eve, but in the end it was never delivered and nobody even harassed us to apologize or let us know what happened. We called the next day and left a very pleasant message (two times) from courtesy to explain an opportunity to them. You never called back and now, unfortunately, it's likely that we never go back. We were probably one of their best customers, but it seems they don't really have a look at loyalty anymore. Maybe too big, too busy to take care.

Primarily cantonese. we just ordered a few times. Eating was always ready when we arrived. the staff was always friendly and fast. only place where we could find that 1/2 would serve a peking duck (2 courses). the duck was crispy and meat dish nice. many pancakes and salad. also had their sweet and acidic fish, the nice fish was solid and pieces were a good size. would go again.

Driving along 104 Ave in North Surrey , suddenly I had mass craving for chicken's feet and dim sum , do not know why ? come up on Lee Yuen restaurant with the sign say OPEN FOR DIM SUM and LUNCH ! ! so I...make a quick U turn to their parking lot , unassuming entrance , not the most well come sign , dirty parking lot , inside the dinning room , Oulala , ! Omgi !! very dirty ,hole in the wall , dingy decor , fruit flies every where , but I hear a lot good reviews about their fresh home made dim sum , so I have two choices, leave or stay ! I have a soft hart about food , I CAN NOT SAY NO ! dingy place or delectable dim sum , surprised the Dim Sum very fresh quality ingredients , and delicious , not much MSG in any of the food , price very reasonable , my chicken's feet very plump and flavourful , I end up re order two portion to go for my snake to night , not a luxury dim sum place , but very casual budget Cantonese Chinese restaurant , lot of take out , only three stars because the dirty dinning room and no services at all ! , and only one girl running around like Chicken with no head, very feel sorry for her , but she did try , over all , I truly enjoyed the Dim Sum , great Dim Sum in N. Surry , as long you here for Dim Sum , not the ambiance , you okay ! would I come back ? I will but for take out only !
