She said the rice was probably gluten-free, but she wasn't sure. She didn't know a vinegar could have anything. Tell me I didn't order sushi. I saw her station where they cut and they didn't use a separate room. They didn't know what celiac was. Ultimately, this is a normal restaurant that Tamari has no special training or precautions in addition to normal soy sauce. I'd never go back. The sushi was cheap and tastes good. I feel sick.
The staff was friendly and ensured that the food was GF. They had GF soy sauce and not Tamari! You have a California role with real crab instead of imitation crab and it was safe. My husband is sensitive to cross-contamination and he wasn't sick after eating here!!
We ate here just recently and ordered the cucumber maki and salmon and tuna maki for the takeover. No problems afterwards, and the staff were aware of what items were gluten-free when we asked for order. Sushi was extremely fresh, some of the best we had in Surrey. We'd eat here again.
Excellent food. Putting it on here because they have gluten free soy sauce and gluten free wasabi.
This restaurant is not safe for those with Celiac disease. The staff claimed everything was gluten-free, but when I questioned this, they had to consult with another staff member who was unsure about the rice and vinegar. They advised against ordering sushi due to the risk of gluten contamination. Additionally, they did not have separate cutting stations for gluten-free preparation and were unfamiliar with Celiac disease. While the sushi was inexpensive and tasty, I regret going back as I am already feeling unwell. Overall, this establishment lacks proper training and precautions for gluten-free dining.
