Husband and I went here a few weeks agoI ordered the Korma Chalaw which is a Lamb Skank piece in Tomato sauce with a Trio of Rice.

I've had so many people recommend this place to me and I'm glad I listened to them.

We discovered that the Royal Oak has been in business for several decades and originally opened in Burnaby. We found the staff very cordial making us feel very welcome from the moment that we stepped into the door. The menu offers both Greek and Italian fare with their focus on Greek. We opted for the seafood platter which included lobster tail, skewers of prawns and Crab Legs. At $85 it really wasn't such a bad deal.

My husband and I had dinner here on our first night in Canada. The restaurant bills itself as Greek Cuisine and serves pizza. I found this a bit confusing, but went with the flow. The Happy Hour menu was a little confusing, but our server gladly pointed out our error. Once we decided on our dinner selections, the wait for our food was what we expected for a nicely prepared meal. And, the food was excellent. Since I was expecting the bill to be higher than we usually pay for a dinner out, we took a deep breath when it came. We had great service, and would recommend this establishment as a place to celebrate a special occasion.
