Contribuisci feedbackI have been going to Chu Bay once a fortnight for years. Tony, the owner has gotten a little slower and the place is not fancy. But, the food is good, and great value and Tony always has a smile. This is one of those places you can rely on to be consistent in quality and price. It never disappoints and feels like going to a friend's home. It's a neighbourhood place, where you know Tony and his family and have watched his kids grow. It has become part of my life and the life of my friends. In the Eastern suburbs of Sydney, restaurants come and go so quickly. Chu Bay remains and the regulars love it.
We had not been here for a little while so we ordered what we normally have and it was amazing fresh Vietnamese food. Unlike some places if the entree has 2 pieces and there is 3 of you! We asked can we have 3 pieces and nothing was a problem. Awesome food and great service with a smile from the owner. Will be back again soon.
Stuffed chicken wings starter very tasty. Nice selection of main course dishes. Fast and friendly service.
Great food, service and value. I've been about 6 times and have never been disappointed. I have no hesitation in recommending Chu Bay
My second visit in the last 2 months, after a gap of 30 years! Food is terrific, so fresh and tasty. Service is very friendly. We were in a rush to get to a late evening film, both times, however the staff were pleasant and understanding. Good value. Each dish has a distinctive flavour unlike some places where the same sauce covers every dish. I would highly recommend a visit, or two...
