Chur Burger - Surry Hills

I have a slight temptation to take a break from burgers, but I can't resist trying out burger bars whenever I come across them. This time, I randomly stumbled upon one while feeling a bit hungry. I was pleasantly surprised by the delicious burgers, great chips, and excellent beer selection. Definitely a place worth visiting.

Definitely try the lamb burger at this restaurant. Though YELP may not allow short reviews, I must say that I would love to return and sample everything on the menu. The gluten-free bun was decent, and the burger was messy but delicious. Life doesn't get much better than this.

These burgers are the bomb. They're not made from a catalogue of ingredients, just a few select things done really well. Indulgent, sweet, oozey and damn good (check the photos). The light, sweet brioche bun is the hero here, and ordering a diet alternative would be missing the point. Don't overlook the perfectly cooked sweet potatoes fries, either. If you set up at the bar, you get a very intimate look into the burger prep. Hip-hop beats and the swift chef work contagious energy. Chur is probably the best burger I've tried and funnily enough, the cheapest too. Fish, beef, pork, chickpea or chicken; all of them check in at $10. Thank you, Good Chur. The main thing that separates Chur from other burger joints? They're made by chefs, not cooks.

The craze must have died down! Came here around Saturday noon time and the restaurant was only 20% full. I tried the fish burger chilli salt fries. The fish burger was delicious! Not too greasy and it went really well with the pickled cucumber (freshness sourness! and mayo. Chilli salt fries were good too! I wouldnt go out of my way to come here for a burger but if im around the area, I would definitely come back!
