Mexican Burrito Cantina - Surry Hills

Fantastic place. all 4 dishes were very nice. Chili con carne tacos were excellent. Lively mexican staff, great food, thanks for a great night.

Situated near the Cleveland Street end of Crown Street this Mexican restaurant is a lovely surprise. The staff are friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is fun and quirky. The food was flavoursome, generous and authentic. Really enjoyed the quesadilla and loved the churros. Tried some cactus which was quite spicy but my tolerance to spice is low. We really enjoyed the meal, and even got serenaded by the waiter. Oh and it’s BYO wine only.

We were in Sydney for a week and tried a few different restaurants in the Surry Hills area and came across this place by accident. It is small but the food was great and the service was very friendly.

I can tell I was always looking for Mexican food, because I love it and I’m Mexican, so I just missed my food! And it was already year and a half that I was just trying to found some good Mexican restaurants around Sydney, because all I wanted was some good quality and the most similar taste of Mexican food!! So one day I went down the street and saw that there was Mexican food, and I thought to my self let’s see if the taste is similar here; and guess what!! definitely it was the best decision I could make, because the food was literally the same taste that I never had in my life here in Australia!! (Especially the enchiladas). I loved the service, too fast, lovely owners, the place super clean and beautiful decoration, in short was wonderful!!! So it makes me happy because finally I found a great place to eat Mexican food and the best part of this is that I felt at home when I got there. Definitely the people and the vibe that you can feel in this restaurant was bringing me the best memories from México and I think that’s the most important thing that you have to get it. Just feel like in home. I close this review saying in my personal opinion that if you want to try Mexican food, go here because the enchiladas are the most delicious I've ever had. Atte: Diego Issa

Didn’t know what to expect for someone who only grew up with “white guy” Mexican food but boy was I blown away!! The authentic food was unreal and trying everything new was an eye opener! The homey feel made you feel like you were getting the food cooked by a loving family who really took care of you… best Mexican food I’ve ever had hands down.
