Mr Fox - Surry Hills

Went with my mates Boggis and Bunce, Mean was staying in drinking cider. Got irritated by a badger but had some chicken and a few glasees of cider and we all had a groovy time. Will return.

These guys are fun, attentive and run a really good bar / restaurant. Their whisky and wine list is impressive and the menu is diverse enough for anyone to be happy. The price is reasonable but as they make a mean cocktail it can bump up pretty quickly.

I had my birthday party at Mr Fox - 40 guests in the upstairs function area. Loved the vibe- mismatched and eclectic, like a little house party. The service was above and beyond. James and I had several conversations and emails in the lead up, I changed my mind a few times in regards to choice of canapés and bar tab etc. Nothing was a hassle for him! He was super accommodating from start to finish, took it upon himself to offer coronas rather than just sparkling as the welcome drink for my guests. Just gave everything a personal and thoughtful touch. All my guests commented on how friendly and considerate the service was. The food was great, the atmosphere was amazing. I could not recommend this place more highly for a function. Thank you James and crew!

Had a pre-dinner drink here last night after wanting to visit for a while. Comfortable vibe - good drink selection - cocktails were great - friendly staff. Small venue - got busy early.

We needed somewhere last minute to eat, and found Mr Fox had a table for the 5 of us.We sat upstairs in a funky dining room with a balcony.The owner was a charming and friendly guy who served us that night.FOOD was superb...The starters we shared : Cheese souffle, Pan fried sardines, oven roasted marrowThe mains: Pan fried monkfish, Crispy porl belly, Summer green gnocchi, Beef tenderloin.All was 1st class!
