Nua Thai - Surry Hills

Look, the food here won't win any awards. It's Thai done well enough but for $10 you really can't fault it.

I came into this restaurant with a group of coworkers and we couldn't be happier with the food. It was super tasty, it had good portions and for more than a reasonable price $10 for a green chicken curry midday menu). Lovely terrace. Only two negative things: they only take cash and plates didn't come at the same time, which meant that some people were almost done when the last ones arrived. It depends on how big your group is, I guess.

On arrival it appeared that things may be a bit dire with few people seated in the restaurant we luckily decided to give it a go. The service was good fir a small restaurant and the food was of excellent quality at a reasonable price. We noticed that whilst the restaurant remained quiet there was a large amount of people getting take out. Overall I would definitely return and recommend this small Thai in Surry hills

Used to love this place, not any more. Food is great but if you want to eat in this restaurant phone Uber Eats and get them to deliver to the restaurant. They seem to be the only ones who can get food. Recently with an empty restaurant it too 40 minutes to get the first starter while the bicycles out going were never-ending. The courtyard used to be so dark you couldn't read the menu. Now they have put a spotlight in your face so you still can't read the menu. That doesn't matter anyway because the menu if unintelligible. If you use Uber Eats you can use your credit card as the restaurant is cash only. If you work for the tax office you know what to do.

Have been here several times now, and always great tasting Thai, friendly service, and reasonably priced. My favourite dish is the chicken stir fry with pumpkin and garlic, deliciously different.
