JJ's Diner - Sussex

This diner is fantastic. The quality of the food is excellent and the prices are very reasonable. The ambiance during dinner is lovely and the service is exceptional.

I enjoyed staying at this clean and pleasant accommodation that offers a delicious complimentary breakfast at the JJ's Diner next door, which includes eggs, side meat, hash browns, toast, and a drink. I will definitely make a point to visit again on my future trips to Newfoundland.

The restaurant serves classic diner food perfectly. The food was delicious and served quickly. The staff was friendly, hardworking, and efficient. The diner had a great atmosphere and was very clean.

Stopped at first restaurant we saw off the highway. Really glad we did cool authentic '50s diner with really good food (chowder was a bowl of clams with a bit of cream and a couple of potatoes excellent).

JJ's is basic diner food. Which is a good thing. If you want your basics like pancakes, burgers and fries and decadent dessert, you've found your place. It's not far off the highway which is good plus it's open on Sunday which very little in Sussex area is. My son loved the grilled cheese and both my husband and I had burgers which we both enjoyed. We ordered poutine the gravy was good but they used mozzarella instead of cheese curds and coated fries which was .. okay. The waitress was a lovely, cheerful young lady who checked in on us with appropriate frequency. Check out JJ's if you want a good, hearty meal.
