Woodcote Green - Sutton

I have been to this restaurant on many occasions and have always been pleased with the service and food quality. The staff are always very friendly. However, during a recent breakfast with a friend, we received cold scrambled eggs and undercooked bacon. When we sent the food back to the kitchen, the replacement breakfast was slammed onto the table. We also waited for more drinks that never arrived. The bill was promptly brought to us, but unfortunately, this experience has led us to decide not to return to this establishment.

The sandwiches were dry, the food was lukewarm, and the service was miserable and indifferent. By 12:15, the hot food felt like it had been sitting out for a long time. The sandwich was so dry that 80% of it was left uneaten. When I brought this to the attention of the server, they responded in a very unfriendly manner, offering no apology or replacement.

After driving 45 minutes to the garden center with my excited toddlers who were looking forward to pizza for lunch, we were disappointed to be told that we couldn't bring our non-walking babies into the seating area with the pushchair because there was no room. We have been dining at Dobbies at least once a month with the same pushchair and children, so we were surprised by this sudden rule. It seems like they were just using busyness and understaffing as an excuse. Treating customers like this will only drive them away. What a shame.

So slow I wouldn’t bother again, brought my elderly mum here which is a task due to mobility issues etc and when we get here the restaurant is closed and the cafe is being run by one poor lady. Mum ended up on her own for 30mins while I queued for a hot chocolate for her. Please get it sorted out you need staff!

Haven't had lunch at Woodcote for a while but it used to always be fabulous not so this time, standards have really dropped. Went with my partner and we both had sausages and chips yes I know dull but let me tell you the food was duller. The vegetables were not edible and the gravy very poor, sausages very average but on a positive note the warmish chips were OK (but not hot). Real disappointment and such a shame as it used to be so good.
